Are Your Alcohol Ads Compliant?
Pick one of your recent ads. A magazine spread. A social post. An influencer partnership. Walk it through these questions.
Does it name the responsible advertiser, with a city and state or direct contact method?
Does it state the class and type designation, and for spirits, the alcohol content?
Does every label shown match a currently approved COLA?
If it references calories or carbs, does it include a Statement of Average Analysis or a Serving Facts Statement?
If it makes a health claim, does the claim meet the four-part test, with disclaimers as prominent as the claim itself?
On social, is the mandatory information on the profile, in the post, or accessible through a clearly marked link or @tag?
Has anyone on your team reposted or liked third-party content that makes claims you would never make yourself?
If you hesitated on any of these, you are not alone. Most industry members cannot answer all seven with confidence, and TTB does not grade on a curve. This course gives you the framework to answer yes, every time, before you publish.
